While mole poblano is traditionally made with turkey (which is indigenous to the Americas) and not chicken (which hails from China), the combination is one that can work. Savory truffles are not uncommon, and I can imagine that a spice mix for poultry could be added to a ganache in a way that works, too. I am less sanguine about KFC’s ability to deliver on this. And I am not quite sure that I will go out of my way to try it. But I probably will.
