Peru and the 2017 Salon del Cacao y Chocolate

Peru has made some pretty amazing achievements in the cocoa sector over the past decade and nowhere is this more evident to the international community than during the Salon del Cacao y Chocolate.

Spread over four days – July 6 through 9 – the Salon plays host to demos, a technical conference, business roundtables (pictured in the image), and over 120 exhibitors showcasing cacao, chocolate, equipment, local foods, and much more. There is also a special judging round for the International Chocolate Awards.

Stay tuned as I post from the show every day and then from the countryside as I join fellow international guests on La Ruta del Cacao, visiting cacao farms and co-operatives, this year focusing on the Ucayali region.
