TheChocolateLifeLIVE – What Can An AI Tell Us About Chocolate?

I have some other impressions looking at the image up close and personal.

The AI content generators demonstrated in this episode of TheChocolateLifeLIVE will be chatGPT and Dall-E from (the now not-so open) firm OpenAI.

During the course of the livestream I am going to be engaging in a series of chats with chatGPT, asking it questions about cacao and chocolate and having it asking questions of me that I will answer and chatGPT will give me its assessment of my answer – right or wrong, and why it “thinks” I am either right or wrong.  People participating live can, of course, ask me to pose questions of their own to chatGPT.

I also plan to ask chatGPT to compose some chocolate haiku, write a Shakespearean-style sonnets on chocolate, and suggest lyrics for a hip-hop song.

The point of the exercise is to understand the possible uses of AI language generators and the limitations of chatGPT (specifically) when it comes to generating content that can be trusted to be accurate. AND we will see if chatGPT offers up any new facts in the process – and/or surprise us with some insights.

AI in Food Development Update

There is a new generative AI chatbot service in development that is just entering alpha release to early adopters, TasteGPT.

From the TasteGPT website:

I got myself on the waiting list. If a spot opens up before Tuesday I will preview it in this livestream. I am planning to offer up an in-depth review in a future episode once I have a chance to put it through its paces.

I asked ChatGPT(3 – version 4 is about to be releaased), to “Write a poem about chocolate in the style a Raymond Chandler thriller.” Here is the result. Let me know what you think in the comments:

She walked into my office,
A dame with a sultry look,
And a box of chocolates,
That she couldn't help but took.

She said her husband was missing,
And she didn't know where he'd gone,
But she had a feeling,
That something was definitely wrong.

I offered her a chocolate,
And she took one with a grin,
As she told me about her husband,
And the trouble she was in.

I bit into the chocolate,
And let the flavors swirl,
As I listened to her story,
And watched her lashes curl.

Dark and rich, with a hint of spice,
The chocolate was just the right vice,
To help me think and solve the case,
And put the bad guys in their place.

So we hit the streets together,
With a box of chocolates as our guide,
And we found her missing husband,
In a place where he could no longer hide.

The case was closed, the day was won,
And the chocolate had done its job,
For it was the sweetest victory,
That I had ever known on this mob.
