Episode 122 Overview
These days, when people say they have “done research,” they often (usually?) mean they performed a search (or three) using a single search engine (e.g., Google or DuckDuckGo) and/or asked a question (or three) of an AI chatbot like ChatGPT.
But is that research? Really?
Pondering this question, I was inspired to ask the same question/prompt to three search engines, all of them AI-assisted (Google, DuckDuckGo, and Perplexity), and an AI chatbot (ChatGPT) to see what I could learn about what those engines “thought”were the most common questions people are asking about chocolate.
What are ten top questions people ask about chocolate?
In this episode, we’ll take a look at how the responses are the same (and how they are different), what we can learn about the sources they rely on, what some of the advantages of an AI chatbot might be, and what to do about the results.
I will also share one example of how where you ask the results from can affect the results you get.
