How can I dry and preserve whole cacao pods to use as shakers? I got gifted two cacao pods, the person who bought them was told in order to dry them and use as shaker to keep them in the fridge for some time. Any advice for this greatly appreciated! Thank you

I would put them in a dehydrator or a convection oven at the lowest possible heat setting. Putting them in a refrigerator to do this is very slow and runs the risk of the pod rotting and turning slimy.
