I found this publication very refreshing, as it was clear in the field that the Forastero x Criollo couldn´t explain whole cacao diversity. It is frustrating however, that almost 10 years later, so-called experts advise on governmental policies based on that model.

A ground-breaking 2008 publication that rocked the world of cacao. We now know it to be a lot more complicated than Criollo, Forastero, and Trinitario.
