Episode 43 Overview
In this episode, I will be joined by Pashmina De Shon, co-founder of Bar & Cocoa (Denver, CO).

Founded in 2015, Bar & Cocoa currently offers products – bars, bonbons, and more – from over 50 chocolate makers representing more than 30 countries.
While I have been aware of Bar & Cocoa from their earliest days, I met up with Pashmina and members of the team at the recent Southwest Chocolate and Coffee Fest in Albuquerque. It was a sort of walk-by meeting in the last hours of the Fest, and I learned (among other things) that B&C was going to be exhibiting at the Craft Chocolate Experience in San Francisco shortly afterward.

Adobe’s Firefly trying to render a prompt about buying chocolate bars and cocoa online. Network nodes, something that vaguely resembles a wire shopping cart without wheels, almonds, and some (farm?) landscape.
I quickly formulated a set of topics I wanted to discuss with Pashmina during an episode of PodSaveChocolate. In addition to wanting to know what inspired the decision to get into the chocolate business this way, I wanted to explore, including:
- The decision-making process when it comes to selecting companies and products to sell.
- What makers need to do, and what they need to avoid, when approaching B&C.
- The importance/value of awards.
- How the SWCCF in ABQ was the same - and different – from the CCE in SF. The audience, buying patterns, and the questions asked.

How products are organized for browsing on the B&C website.
