Episode 113 Overview
In the beginning (early June 2001) was Chocophile.
In 2008, I shuttered the hand-coded Chocophile and spun it up on Ning as TheChocolateLife, going live on January 16th (or 18th). Rather than being a blog site (like chocophile), TheChocolateLife was, from the beginning, a community site, where members could ask questions in the Forums, upload images and create galleries, link to YouTube and Vimeo videos, and pen original blog posts.

In 2017, I moved TheChocolateLife to a new platform – The Maven Network – a platform that did not allow members to create their own posts, ask their own questions, or upload images. Rather than split my attention across two platforms I archived the content, putting the site into read-only mode.,
When I had to move off Maven in 2021, I was faced with the decision to move the Maven content to a blogging platform or try to reformat all the content to make it work on the pre-Maven platform.
Now, after several years on the Ghost platform, I have reopened the archive site to new member signups, turning off read-only mode for most of the functional areas of the site.
It is still a work in progress.
But this episode is a re-introduction to the capabilities of the Forums site and an extended invitation to sign up and contribute. (Again.)
