One of the great privileges and joys I have, following my ChocolateLife, is taking part in competitions. Not just as a judge, but, when asked, as a contributor to the overall entry and judging processes. In all respects it’s been a special pleasure to be involved with the Craft Chocolat Challenge, conceived at led by Dustin Cornett of the Chocolat Inn. [See the links below under Resources.]
In this episode of TheChocolateLifeLIVE I will be joined by Dustin (and some special guests) to present the award winners in the 2023 Craft Chocolat Challenge.
There were more than forty entries from twenty companies from eight countries (India, China, Norway, Spain, Belize, Venezuela, and Guatemala in addition to the US) competing for awards in four categories plus a trio of overall winner awards.
- Dark Chocolate (without inclusions; could be flavored)
- Milk Chocolate (without inclusions; could be flavored)
- White Chocolate (without inclusions; could be flavored)
- Inclusions (dark, milk, or white chocolate; could be flavored)
- Overall winners
Over the course of the hour we’ll discuss the judging procedure, some thoughts we had about the process and more.
One of the more things we will be sharing is how you can get involved with the winners in this year’s competition – a unique opportunity not offered by any other chocolate competition.
